Ardrossan Town station on 23rd March 1986 just before electrification, with Swindon Class 120 "Cross Country" 3-car unit, with 53677 visible and Class 107 Derby "Heavyweight" 3-car units in Strathclyde livery, with set 107427 (52020 + 59793 + 51987) at the front. At the head of the line of Class 101/107 units is Metro-Cammell hybrid unit 101430 (comprising 51803 + 59802 + 52008) in Strathclyde PTE livery.
